I Visited My Kidney Tonight!
Katie & I visited Eileen and Jim tonight at their home. Katie was home from college for Thanksgiving and wanted to go with me to see them. Every time I see them and how great they are doing, I get an unbelievable feeling inside. I truly feel I got just as much out of this as they did, if not more.
Eileen cooked a great turkey dinner for us and even delivered it to our home. It was, and continues to be, a very tasty feast.

Merry Christmas, Harry,
I hope Santa was kind to you —- whatever type of Angel you are or aren’t. My family knoows you are our angel. We had a fine day, so much btter than last Christmas when I was still recovering from parathyroid surgery, and trying (not very successfully) to think about returning to work. One of my best gifts this Christmas (besides your very early gift on June 6), was a candle from Jess. The following inscription was on it:
JUST WHEN THE CATERPILLAR THOUGHT THE WORLD WAS OVER…IT BECAME A BUTTERFLY… — (proverb)
A year ago so many things seemed impossible — now Jess is graduated, I’m back to my self — full of your good antioxidants– and a kidney that works. Plus, we’ve found a new friend. Best of Luck in the new year, my friend. You deserve the best. I hope this blog entry finds you well and HAPPY. Eileen
Comment by Eileen — December 25, 2007 @ 11:03 pmHAPPY NEW YEAR, Harry. I hope you saw a copy of the article Jeff Mill wrote for the Sunday Herald/Press in the Middletown edition. I thought he did a fine job. I hope you think so, too. Every wish for a great year ahead in 2008, Harry. Here’s a toast to you for making our lives more than better. Too bad my name wasn’t Sally — then we could say 2007 was the year when Harry met Sally, instead of Eileen. No regrets, I always liked my irish name! – Ei
