I have just read most of your story and think that you are amazing. As a kidney patient who is on haemo dialysis threee times a week the thought of having a transplant is beyond belief.
My boss has said that he would donate a kidney to me and I still cannot believe it.

I have no idea how I ended up on your website. Perhaps fate? I have no relation to needing a kidney, just a random google search at work that ended up here. With that said, I am truly happy I ran across this. I think your story and willingness to give unconditionally has further reach than you imagined. I will share this with those I care about that need to hear an uplifting story. It’s nice to know there are people out there that really are deserving of being called a ‘hero’, whether or not you think it’s deserving.

Comment by David Hancock — March 4, 2008 @ 5:46 pmI am new to this website and not exactly sure what it is all about. From an article in the newspaper I was under the impression that this sight could help me to find a potential kidney donor. My mom is in need of a transplant and although I am a match for her I am extremely over weight and unable to donate until I loose a minimum of 100lbs. With that being said I hate see her waiting and becoming sicker and sicker. I want to give her my kidney and have begun my journey with the weight loss and have so far lost 30lbs but if I could find someone who is ready willing and able to do this for her it would be such a gift. Can this website offer me any advice or guidance?
Thank you for any help that you might be able to supply.
Amy
